È ancora Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels a presentare insieme a Romaeuropa e all’Accademia di Francia a Roma – Villa Medici, Passages, nuovo progetto di Noé Soulier.

After the power of ICK Dans di Amsterdam, that opened our 37th edition screaming We Want It All and the intimate journey through composer Ólafur Arnalds’ melodies, Romaeuropa Festival 2022’s summer continues under the Cavea’s sky at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and in the gardens of Villa Medici.

Three appointments presented with an exceptional partner, with whom we share the promotion and support of contemporary dance. Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels arrives in Italy at Romaeuropa Festival 2022 supporting the national premiers of Drumming Live by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Ictus (13th and 14th of september) and In C by Sasha Waltz & Guests (17th and 18th of september) and presenting at the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici, where our festival was born in 1986, the site-specific project Passages by Noé Soulier (from the 23rd to the 25th of september).

Two dialogues with minimalistic music are the ones brought to life by two icons of international dance: Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker coming back, on the 13th and 14th of september to Rome in the Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica “Ennio Morricone”, with a restating of her iconic Drumming (1998) on Steve Reich ’s music executed live by the ensemble Ictus, and Sasha Waltz confronting herself with In C by Terry Riley played live by the Ensamble Casella from L’Aquila. It’s Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels again presenting with Romaeuropa and the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici, Passages, a new project by Noé Soulier. Considered today one of the main exponents of French dance, the coreographer presents from the 23rd to the 25th of september a site-specific itinerary en plein air in the wonderful spaces of the French Academy, creating a contemplative journey in which the performers seem to be absorbing and redesign the charm and the history of the venue, creating resonances with its architecture, innescare risonanze con le sue architetture, weaving relations with imaginary and real objects inviting us to a new perceptive and emotive experience.
