Sharon Fridman’s performance -for the first time in Rome- is the ninth DNA edition’s opening. The Israeli dancer presents two choreographies: “¿Hasta Dónde?” and “Caìda Libre”. The first one is the 2012 Alicia Alonso ICC’12 Latin American Prize winner and the second is a new creation that the choreographer created together with her six dancers and it’s made for a group of fifteen local artists. In “¿Hasta Dónde?” two characters question themselves around the concept of distance, intended as an equilibrium which is built upon an impulse transmission. On the other hand, “Caìda Libre” is a study about survival: how does a community grows, why its identity is threaten by individual rebels and what does it takes to keep the community together and united?
