«With Sahara we seek the initial condition of the artist who only has him or herself as prime material», states the presentation text of the new creation by Claudia Castellucci, who returns to the REF together with her Compagnia Mòra. The research into movement that runs through the artist’s creative and educational oeuvre is here juxtaposed with an image of the desert: a place devoid of raw materials, a place in which one is forced to create only with what one has- the self.
