Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi return to REF with their new creation, All’Arme, in collaboration with the Croatian company Studio Contemporary Dance Company. Full of meaning, the title plays on two levels: alarm, which calls for defense, and the moment when this defense transforms into aggression. When does the need to protect ourselves put us at risk of becoming a threat? Starting from the rhythm of the human step, the two choreographers explore the power of synchronized, collective movement. Inspired by the language of military choreography, they investigate the tension between individual action and the strength of the group, questioning the fine line that separates legitimate defense from the possibility of becoming what we fear. All’Arme is a choreographic journey that invites us to reflect on the fears that dwell within us and the fragility of the boundaries between protection and aggression.
