Speaking Cables [EXPANDED]

Choreographic device for voice, cables, and speakers [+ tactile maps].

Speaking Cables [EXPANDED] debuts in its extended version, inclusive and accessible to the blind and visually impaired community. In an atmosphere suspended between ritual and play, the voice is transformed into sign, space, and relationship through sounds, silences, and dialogues. The innovative sound choreography expands the listening experience, involving the audience in an immersive performance. Thanks to a paper storyboard with tactile maps, the blind audience can follow the narration in real-time. A system of signals sent via bone-conduction headphones guides the sensory path, making the work fully accessible. Speaking Cables redefines the concept of fruition, transforming a voice into a shared experience between listening, imagination, and stage presence.
