ULTRA CLUB returns with a special showcase dedicated to one of the most influential and innovative realities in the Italian independent music scene: Dischi Sotterranei. Founded in 2015 in Padova and part of Big Maff since 2019, the label is now celebrating its tenth anniversary. It has distinguished itself for its collective approach and meticulous musical and visual research, which has given life to impactful projects such as Post Nebbia, Gazebo Penguins, Coca Puma, Visconti, and many others.
During a meeting with journalist Patrizio Ruviglioni, the founder and CEO Francesco Aneloni and A&R Manager Michele Novak will share their story.
On stage, two projects representing the musical evolution and research of Dischi Sotterranei:
Gaia Morelli, born in 2000, debuts as a solo artist with La Natura Delle Cose (Dischi Sotterranei / Panico Dischi), an album that blends folk and indie with deep, emotional songwriting, reflecting on themes of growth and change. Enriched by a collaboration with Enrico Gabrielli of Calibro 35, her intimate and engaging sound has made an impact on the international scene, following her first psych-pop venture with the Baobab project!
Satantango, a new and unique addition to the Dischi Sotterranei roster, originates from the province of Cremona, in a gray and desolate landscape. With dark and alternative sounds, Satantango explores the nostalgia of a disillusioned province, creating a hypnotic sound that plays on the contrast between the past and the future, between the stillness and the strength of a present in constant transformation.
