Usine Baug

Noir

Usine Baug, a company founded by Ermanno Pingitore, Stefano Rocco, Claudia Russo, and Emanuele Cavalcanti, presents with Noir. Storia del buio a work that delves into a sense of powerlessness and the anxieties of the present. Blending investigation and storytelling in a true-crime style, the performance follows the mysterious disappearance of documentary filmmaker H. Forloi, author of the film Noir. Storia del buio, transforming investigative obsession into a way of navigating contemporary disorientation. Rather than seeking answers, Noir attempts to inhabit what escapes definition: to fracture the assumption that no alternatives exist and to reopen, within the darkness of the present, a space still possible for doubt, imagination, and the desire for another world.

Usine Baug is a theater collective formed in 2018 from the meeting of Ermanno Pingitore, Stefano Rocco, Claudia Russo, and Emanuele Cavalcanti. The group develops shared creations without fixed roles, leveraging individual skills within a collective process. Their work weaves together prose theater, movement, and visual languages to tackle contemporary political and social themes. A finalist for the Premio Scenario in 2019 with Calcinacci and for the Premio Scenario Infanzia in 2020 with Sweet Haka, the collective won the Premio Scenario Periferie in 2021 with Topi. Recent projects include Ilva Football Club and Un viaggio che non abbiamo fatto. In 2024, they won the Forever Young award with the project Anse, conceived and created in collaboration with Mezzopalco. In 2025, they received the Hystrio Iceberg Award as the best emerging company. Alongside its artistic production, the company maintains an intensive pedagogical activity in both national and international contexts.
