Five directors lead a cast of seven actors from the Second-Level Acting Course at the Silvio d’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art in five performances exploring a shared theme, HEIMAT: Homeland/Stranger, built around the same scenographic device and presented as a five-day marathon.
Thom Luz inaugurates the HEIMAT: Homeland/Stranger journey. One of Switzerland’s leading contemporary theatre directors, Luz has developed a highly distinctive form of musical theatre in which sound, space, light and stage presence intertwine to create poetic landscapes suspended between concert, performance and installation. His gaze, attentive to the invisible traces of memory and belonging, opens the marathon with a reflection on the relationship between home, identity and estrangement.
