The first event of the ULTRA CLUB week is dedicated to two voices redefining italian female singer-songwriting.
For the first time in Rome, Gaia Banfi, born in 1998, musician and producer, presents her musical universe, where voice, electronics, and songwriting blend into ever-shifting soundscapes. Her debut album La Maccaia (released by Trovarobato) moves between distortion and delicacy, drawing inspiration from Bon Iver, Radiohead, Robert Wyatt, as well as the Italian songwriting tradition (from De André to Battisti), reimagined in an intimate and dreamlike key, with ancestral sounds and electronic rhythms.
Part of the independent italian label Asian Fake, Ginevra takes the stage with her new full-band live show, born from the intense creative journey that led to Femina, her latest album. A performance where intimate writing and political charge intertwine, wrapped in synths and sharp guitars, evoking the atmospheres of Portishead, Feist, and Lana Del Rey. Her music is a dark and sophisticated pop that boldly speaks of the body, anger, and desire — from magnetic tracks like My Baby! to the powerful duet with Meg in Spacco Tutto.
Two distinct worlds sharing a common urgency: telling stories of growth, identity, and soul geographies — laying themselves bare and transforming fragility into strength.
