For the grand finale of REF2025, on November 16th, Kruder & Dorfmeister will perform in Rome at the Sala Santa Cecilia in the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, as part of their The K&D Sessions Live tour, celebrating 30 years of career for the legendary Austrian duo and one of the most iconic albums in the 90s electronic scene. Released on August 19, 1998 by Studio!K7, The K&D Sessions was a true revolution in the electronic music landscape, solidifying the duo of Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister as one of the most influential and innovative acts in international music. In the 90s Vienna, dominated by techno, Kruder & Dorfmeister carved out an alternative path, exploring refined grooves and hypnotic downtempo, blending trip-hop, jazzstep, downtempo, and breakbeat into a distinctive sound that defined an era. With G-Stoned and then The K&D Sessions, the duo redefined the concept of the remix album, paving the way for genres like IDM and chillout. Their remixes for Depeche Mode, Bomb the Bass, and Roni Size, along with over a million copies sold worldwide, made The K&D Sessions a milestone in electronic music. For this special event, the album will be performed live in its entirety with a top-tier band of musicians, bringing back the magic and unique atmospheres of The K&D Sessions and delivering them into the present, with their timeless power and relevance.
