The 100 Cellos were founded in 2012 at Teatro Valle Occupato from the encounter between Enrico Melozzi and Giovanni Sollima. From that initial spark, an out-of-scale artistic journey took shape: from the Concertone of May 1st at Piazza San Giovanni, performed before hundreds of thousands of people, to international tours across Dubai, Tokyo, Osaka, Budapest, and Madrid.
The ensemble has appeared in landmark venues such as Teatro alla Scala, the Greek Theatre of Taormina, and the Auditorium Parco della Musica, consolidating its presence in emblematic cultural spaces worldwide. Today, 100 Cellos are recognized globally for their ability to redefine the language of the cello.
