Tempo Reale

La luce
installazione

La luce is a site-specific audiovisual installation inspired by Giuseppe Chiari’s 1966 score of the same name. Conceived by Agnese Banti and Francesco Giomi for Artissima 2018 — and realized at the Pinacoteca Agnelli in Turin with the support of Frittelli Arte Contemporanea — the work reinterprets the Maestro’s minimalist research through a contemporary lens, constructing an immersive environment in which sound, silence, light, and darkness enter into a continuous state of tension. For the Romaeuropa Festival, the piece is presented in a special setup in which loudspeakers and light sources draw a true dramaturgical pathway, marked by sonic materials related to electricity and capable of transforming the space into an unstable perceptual field, oscillating between vibration, presence, and subtraction.

The Tempo Reale Electroacoustic Ensemble is a flexible formation composed of associated performers who work regularly within Tempo Reale (the music research, production, and education center founded by Luciano Berio), as well as guest artists and external collaborators. The ensemble brings together musicians active in contemporary sound research, improvisational practices, and the exploration of new musical technologies.
The ensemble’s vocation is to experiment with languages, devices, and open forms, creating performances in which electronics, gesture, and listening become tools for collective creation.
