Dopo aver inaugurato il Romaeuropa Festival 2021 con l’adrenalinico e poetico Möbius, Collectif XY torna dal 29 ottobre al primo novembre al Teatro Olimpico, nell’ambito del percorso costruito con Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels,  per spingere ancora più lontano la propria visione vertiginosa e collettiva.Â
Sul palco prende forma un unico organismo vivente: un gruppo di acrobati e acrobate diverso per età e fisicità , trasformano la tecnica acrobatica in un gesto profondamente umano costruendo architetture spettacolari di corpi che si sostengono, si innalzano e cadono. Sono cattedrali effimere fatte di slanci, fiducia e interdipendenza.Â
In Le Pas du Monde i corpi diventano paesaggi in trasformazione; montagne che si erodono, foreste attraversate dal vento, onde che si infrangono e si ricompongono in un movimento continuo che rende visibile il respiro del vivente. Il tempo, geologico e umano, è il vero protagonista dello spettacolo: forza che solleva e consuma, che accende l’infanzia e piega le vertebre, che costruisce e disfa senza tregua.Â
XY dà vita così a un rito collettivo che parla di fragilità come potenza, di comunità come resistenza, di corpi che, uniti, immaginano insieme la possibilità concreta di sostenere il peso del mondo.
Collectif XY returns to the Romaeuropa Festival with Le Pas du Monde: bodies that build the world
After inaugurating the 2021 Romaeuropa Festival with the adrenaline-fuelled and poetic Möbius, Collectif XY returns from 29 October to 1 November at Teatro Olimpico, as part of the programme developed with Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels, pushing its vertiginous and collective vision even further.
On stage, a single living organism takes shape: a group of acrobats of different ages and physicalities transform acrobatic technique into a deeply human gesture, building spectacular architectures of bodies that support, lift, and fall. These are ephemeral cathedrals made of momentum, trust, and interdependence.
In Le Pas du Monde, bodies become shifting landscapes—mountains eroding, forests swept by wind, waves breaking and reforming in a continuous movement that makes the breath of the living visible. Time, both geological and human, is the true protagonist of the work: a force that lifts and wears down, that ignites childhood and bends the spine, that builds and dismantles without pause.
XY thus creates a collective rite that speaks of fragility as strength, of community as resistance, and of bodies that, united, imagine the tangible possibility of bearing the weight of the world together.
