Pick LV’s -the London base trio known for its collaboration with South African underground’s artists- deep dupstep, mix it with a brand new set created with hardware, synthesizer and you have SwamiMillion. Now, add the Fawda Trio -the Bologna based experimental band founded by Fabrizio Puglisi-, Red-A-Zine and Danilo Mineo to get the complete ensemble for Afropolitan’s night number two. “Road to Essaouira” is the project: an auditory melting pot of gnawa, jazz, hip-hop, dance and electronic music. The result is a live music performance made of multiple journeys and works in progress to track the meeting point of contemporary electro and traditional African music.
