71BODIES 1DANCE

71 bodies, 71 stories and as many minutes of dance: this is the premise on which Daniel Mariblanca builds his 71Bodies 1Dance, a project poised between choreographic writing and visual arts. Its development begun from the collection of real stories from Scandinavia (the show is presented under the patronage of the Embassy of Norway) and the European continent, over multiple years of production. Besides focusing on the personal experiences of the transgender community, Mariblanca’s artistic gaze yearns to move away from any rhetoric and stereotype. The stage becomes a space aimed at embracing the emotions rooted in the body, the forces that move it, its vulnerabilities, its continuous search for beauty and poetry.
