Dimore Creative / Transenne
«Giuseppe Uva was a 43-year-old carpenter. He was stopped by police, along with Alberto Biggioggero, on the night of June 13-June 14, 2008, while transennaing a street in Varese. In the morning he was found dead in the hospital. Ten years ago a trial was being opened to shed light on the death of Giuseppe Uva. A trial that closed in the Supreme Court in 2019 with the acquittal of the defendants, but still alive, full of shadows, doubts and contradictions: in fact, in 2021 the European Court of Human Rights declared the appeal made by the Uva family admissible. Then nothing more. A project that was created to tell a story that has deeply marked the Justice of Italy and beyond. Finally, in addition to the theme of justice, the investigation into the media’s telling of the story will be central: how much have newspapers, televisions, and social media influenced the truth, value, and memory of the story of the man Giuseppe Uva?»
