Lora tells the story of Lithuanian dancer Lora Juodkaite, who—by spinning around herself until dizziness—developed a personal gestural practice that has accompanied and comforted her since childhood. In this solo portrait, extracted from the 2014 piece TORDRE, created in Annecy for two dancers, Rachid Ouramdane explores the subtle point where movement oscillates between poetic and therapeutic dimensions. Here, he continues the documentary approach that has become a hallmark of his internationally recognised signature: one of soft testimony, discreet revelation, and a patient, delicate staging of intimacy.
