Costellazione Boario

COSTELLAZIONE BOARIO is an event that brings together different artistic, performative, and installation-based practices, taking place at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome in Campo Boario – Ex Fienili, an area of the former Slaughterhouse shaped by its historical richness: a site of labour, exchange, transit, and the display of both animal and human bodies, now a cultural, artistic, and urban space.
COSTELLAZIONE BOARIO unfolds across multiple operational dimensions that coexist and interact while each maintaining its own formal and conceptual autonomy. Students from the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome collaborated in the design and production of the project from the School of New Art Technologies. Each section was curated by Pedro Alcalde, Elena Bellantoni, Mauro Palatucci, Franco Ripa di Meana, Cristian Rizzuti, and Luca Valerio — artists teaching in the departments of Multimedia Arts, Photography and Video, and Fashion Techniques and Technologies — with the contribution of the duo LU.PA, who curated the performance at CrossinGallery.
