Heimat – Patria/Straniero
Il salto di Nureyev

Five directors lead a cast of seven actors from the Second-Level Acting Course at the Silvio d’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art in five performances exploring a shared theme, HEIMAT: Homeland/Stranger, built around the same scenographic device and presented as a five-day marathon.

With Il salto di Nureyev, Leonardo Manzan, one of the most radical and unpredictable voices on the new Italian theatre scene, takes the stage. Here, his distinctive style becomes openly abstract: a theatre of the absurd that, through irony, linguistic short circuits and constant deviations from reality, questions the necessity of theatre today and its power to engage with the present. Looking to the past to speak about our time, Manzan transforms the theme of HEIMAT into a disorienting reflection on cultural heritage, memory and the very meaning of sharing a space within the theatre.
