Parcours & Showcase

A Sunday dedicated to cross-pollination and dialogue between video games and performing arts, between indie creations and mainstream productions. Performances, workshops, talks and showcases featuring studios and academies from the sector. Parcour is conceived as an exhibition and performance space entirely dedicated to the indie gaming universe. An interactive journey created to showcase new productions, host live sessions and present unpublished projects, offering audiences the opportunity to explore emerging creative languages.
Moving through the different stations, visitors will have the chance to experience a selection of original titles firsthand, ranging from the most surreal and eccentric racing games to atmospheric multiplayer shooters. The journey combines pure entertainment with artistic experimentation, demonstrating how video games can merge with philosophy, visual arts and historical archives to interpret the contemporary world.

Visitors will be able to discover previews of projects currently in development, including role-playing games, socially engaged survival games, horror adventures and innovations connected to artificial intelligence. A dedicated section is also reserved for emerging talents from Accademia Italiana Videogiochi (AIV), who will present their final projects to both audiences and industry professionals.

The event features the active participation of Yonder, Morbidware and Fantastico Studio, DEMIGIANT, some of the most creative and dynamic names in the Italian independent gaming scene, alongside the educational excellence of AIV.

DEMIGIANT, born Daniele Giardini, he constantly moves in search of depth and unconventional perspectives. An independent developer and multidisciplinary author, he personally oversees every aspect of his productions: from game design to storytelling, as well as programming, UI/UX, graphics and illustration (while continuing to refine, with mixed results, his musical skills). Also active in the creation of comics, renowned Unity tools and interactive installations for museums and exhibition spaces, he previously co-founded the studio Holoville before choosing the path of independent creation. He currently lives and works between Rome and Niš, Serbia.

Fantastico Studio it is an independent and self-funded indie studio based in Rome, developing original games with a strong identity (such as the award-winning CUCCCHI) while also handling console ports and publishing for other teams. The studio has contributed to the development and release of more than 30 titles across all major platforms, reaching over 1 million players.

L’Accademia Italiana Videogiochi founded in 2004 with the aim of creating the first educational centre in Italy where video game enthusiasts, both as an art form and as a form of entertainment, could learn the profession of game development, work creatively and flexibly, and acquire skills aligned with the current standards and pipelines of the industry. Already in 2005, AIV was recognised as an excellence in the sector according to the Informative Report of the Ministry for Innovation and Technologies, attracting the attention of major national media outlets. Since 2023, AIV has been an official UATC: Unreal Authorized Training Center recognised by Epic. In the same year, Innova Camera identified AIV as the ideal partner for the organisation of the new gaming pavilion at Maker Faire 2023.

Morbidware it is a team of passionate role-playing game enthusiasts dedicated to experimentation within the indie scene. The studio brings together the experience of game designer Diego Sacchetti (creator of The Textorcist), game artist Misbug (with credits for Team17 and Nitrome) and writer Matteo Corradini. For their current projects, they collaborate closely with the Stockholm Kartell collective and the creators of the iconic tabletop RPG MÖRK BORG, translating its unmistakable dark and decadent aesthetic into the digital realm.

Yonder it’s an independent creative studio based in Rome, active for over a decade in the development of original video game projects. Through an author-driven approach that intertwines research, artistic experimentation, philosophy and game design, the studio creates interactive experiences that explore the expressive potential of video games as a tool for interpreting the contemporary world, while never losing sight of the pleasure of gameplay and its accessibility to diverse audiences.
