Raised in Naples, as the daughter of two different cultures (Italian mother and Arab father), producer and songwriter LNDFK has conquered a prominent position among the most interesting record releases of this year, with her debut album Kuni. Hers is very personal musical language, incorporating jazz, neo-soul and R’n’B sounds, within an original and alien amalgamation of today’s Italian music scene. Inspired by Takeshi Kitano’s film Hanabi and influenced by the sounds of international stars such as Kendrik Lamar, Kamasi Washington, and Flying Lotus, Kuni is a work suspended between jazz, oriental textures, electronic Beats and dreamy melodies, presented by LNDFK and her band at the festival’s Line Up! Section.
