Riccardo La Foresta is a percussionist, sound artist and curator from Modena whose research in recent years aims to question the role of the drum as a percussive instrument. Resonances and vibrations, generated by treating the drum like an aerophone, create ancestral harmonies and complex resonances that drastically distance the instrument from traditional drumming.
