Assistant director alongside the likes of Luca Ronconi and Pierpaolo Sepe, and at the helm of the LaFabbrica company since 2008, Fabiana Iacozzilli has become a national attraction through theatre buoyed by a bold vision and stagecraft system.
Also based on this knowledge is La classe – un docupuppets per marionette e uomini, the winning show in the CURA competition and finalist in the Teatri del Sacro and the Premio Dante Cappelletti 2017. In referring to The Cannibals by George Tabori and The Dead Class by Tadeusz Kantor, Iacozzilli investigates the relationship between our childhood and our coming of age.
What remains within us of the experiences and things we learnt as children? What do we do with the negative emotions, wicked deeds, fear, with the setbacks we experience? Wooden puppets, created by the artist Fiammetta Mandich, populate the stage to narrate a world lost in memory and yet so central to the existence of all.
