Delivery Dancer’s Sphere
Delivery Dancer Simulation

DELIVERY DANCER’S SPHERE
Screening – approx. 25 min
A film that expands the narrative universe of the simulation, creating a dystopian Seoul governed by algorithms and optimisation-driven systems. Through parallel realities, time loops and multiple identities, the work explores algorithmic labour, hyper-surveillance and possible forms of connection within alternative worlds.

DELIVERY DANCER SIMULATION
Game simulation – approx. 12 min
An interactive experience that transports the audience into a futuristic and labyrinthine version of Seoul, where visitors take on the role of a gig economy rider. Through an immersive simulation, the work reflects on the precarious conditions of contemporary labour, the gamification of capitalism and the difficulty of empathising with the invisible dynamics that shape these systems.

Ayoung Kim reimagines reality through a web of hybrid narratives, integrating geopolitics, mythology, technology, techno-precarity and speculative temporalities into her practice. Her works often feature non-conformist figures or techno-precarious entities, whose resistance or misalignment leaves singular traces as they move away from predetermined trajectories.
Kim’s narratives generate wide-ranging speculations, creating connections between biopolitics and border control, between the memory of stones and virtual memory, and between ancestral origins and imminent futures across different media. Her research incorporates reflections on optical and post-optical media, performativity, game simulation and the narrative dimension of fiction. Her interest in synthesis, hybridisation and the coexistence of heterogeneous temporalities translates into an exploration of intersections, transfers, transpositions and exchanges between time, space, structure and syntax.
