Tutto Piange + Marco Fracasia

42RECORDS

An afternoon dedicated to 42 Records, one of the most important and distinctive independent labels in Italian music over the last two decades. Since 2007, the label has continued to operate beyond the automatisms of the music industry, building a coherent, radical path deeply rooted in an idea of independence as a real, everyday, and concrete practice.
Over the years, 42 Records has accompanied some of the most significant trajectories in contemporary Italian music, from I Cani to Colapesce, from Cosmo to Andrea Laszlo De Simone, while consistently maintaining a keen eye for the most vital, unconventional, and necessary forms of artistic expression.

At the heart of the event is the talk Doing What We Love, the Way We Love to Do It with Emiliano Colasanti, co-founder of 42 Records: a statement of intent, but also a possible definition of what it means to be truly independent today. The conversation explores visions, intuitions, artistic choices, and ways of working within—and against—the mechanisms of contemporary music. It reflects the very principle that Colasanti himself has identified as the essence of 42 Records: pursuing what one is passionate about in the way one believes is right.
The afternoon continues with two live performances that perfectly illustrate 42 Records’ ability to identify diverse artistic sensibilities united by a strong expressive urgency.

Tutto Piange

The project of Virginia Tepatti, Tutto Piange represents one of the most delicate and compelling voices to emerge recently on the Italian music scene. Her songs inhabit silences, moments of waiting, and spaces of absence, shaped by a subtle and suspended songwriting style that begins with the guitar and reaches the deepest emotional chords, in the tradition of artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.
Joining the 42 Records roster in 2023, she released her debut EP Dei giorni passati a guardare in May 2025, an intimate, suspended, and deeply emotional work recorded by Marco Giudici and entirely produced by Adele Altro (Any Other). She has also performed as an opening act for Blonde Redhead and Porridge Radio.
Her music is built from space, detail, and vulnerability, transforming fragility into artistic form.

Marco Fracasia

Turin-based singer-songwriter Marco Fracasia is an offbeat, sharp, and unpredictable presence. His songwriting is lo-fi, visceral, and instinctive—always on the verge of veering off course, yet capable of remaining remarkably focused.
42 Records released his debut EP Adesso torni a casa in 2022, presenting it as a small manifesto of an artistic universe suspended between pop, indie, and unexpected detours. This was followed by the EP Adelaide in 2023. His music seems to come from a parallel timeline: emotional, jagged, and dreamlike, and for that very reason profoundly contemporary.
At REF, Marco Fracasia will perform his new album 4321 Hz in its entirety.
