La seconda preview del programma del Romaeuropa Festival 2026 presenta uno degli appuntamenti più attesi della prossima edizione e una delle compagnie di danza più acclamate della scena internazionale: dall’1 al 4 ottobre torna al Teatro Argentina, (LA)HORDE, il collettivo francese alla guida del Ballet national de Marseille, che ha riportato la danza al centro dell’immaginario della Gen Z attraverso un vocabolario audace, sospeso tra pop e ricerca.Â
Il loro percorso è costellato di collaborazioni con icone del pop mondiale come Madonna (per il Celebration Tour), Sam Smith e il regista Ivo van Hove per I Want Absolute Beauty, con Sandra Hüller e musiche di PJ Harvey, oltre a progetti firmati per prestigiose maison di alta moda e apparizioni sulle copertine di The New York Times Arts, M Le Magazine du Monde, Pin-Up, Interlope e altre testate internazionali, a testimonianza di un impatto culturale capace di attraversare linguaggi e discipline.
Romaeuropa announces (LA)HORDE and the Ballet National de Marseille
The second preview of the Romaeuropa Festival 2026 programme presents one of the most anticipated events of the upcoming edition and one of the most acclaimed dance companies on the international scene: from 1 to 4 October, (LA)HORDE — the French collective leading the Ballet national de Marseille — returns to Teatro Argentina, having brought dance back to the centre of the Gen Z imagination through a bold vocabulary suspended between pop and research.
Their trajectory is marked by collaborations with global pop icons such as Madonna (for the Celebration Tour), Sam Smith, and director Ivo van Hove for I Want Absolute Beauty, with Sandra Hüller and music by PJ Harvey, as well as projects created for prestigious haute-couture maisons and appearances on the covers of The New York Times Arts, M Le Magazine du Monde, Pin-Up, Interlope, and other international publications — evidence of a cultural impact capable of crossing languages and disciplines.
The new creation for large stages, presented by the Festival as its Italian premiere. Against the flow of time, dance attempts to return to a moment before catastrophe, before erosion, to confront the monstrous figures inhabiting our collective narratives, along with the silences and gestures of surrender.
An imposing scenography outlines a suspended territory in which the major social mechanisms of power, inheritance, domination and the possibilities of transformation take shape. After Room with a View and Age of Content (of which Romaeuropa presented excerpts last year with Chronicles), the new creation 2026 takes the form of a collective introspection: a descent beneath the surface of everyday gestures and power structures that questions our relationship with inheritance and the possibility of change.
