Arno Schuitemaker’s choreographic basics are the relationship between body, space and time together with the one between performer, audience and choreographer. “The fifteen project” (2012) starts from a simple question: how do we relate to each other? Two men answer it by creating a strong an empathic relationship with the audience by the very first movement and make it last for the entire performance. Irony and a constant concentration move the audience’s perception and the dancers’ steps from an ordinary dimension to an extraordinary one, in a contagious space-time transposition.
