Missa sine verbis

Piotr Orzechowski Quartet, String Quintet of AUKSO, Stefan Weso?owski

Missa Sine Verbis, by Piotr Orzechowski (aka Pianohooligan), is a concert for a string orchestra, a jazz quartet and electronica, based on the re-arrangement of sacred music by the most eminent Polish composers. These musical pieces are juxtaposed with improvisations by the artist, seeking to give life to a ritualistic and religious experience, which also flows from the internal experience of the listener. The word, captured in its primary form- not articulated or embodied in the music- conveys the affirmation of incomparable perfection, as well as the awareness of one’s own defectiveness in the face of ritual mysteries. Missa Sine Verbis is performed by the Quartetto Jazz; the String Quintet of AUKSO/Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy; and Stefan Weso?owski- three aesthetic landscapes united in conveying spiritual beauty.
