Dialoge 9 – MAXXI (movie)

On november 14th and 15th 2009 Sasha Waltz inaugurated the Rome’s new museum for contemporary art MAXXI with Dialoge 9. The special event, organized by the collaboration between the administrators of the building and the Romaeuropa Festival, opened for the first time to the public the Museum conceived and designed by Zaha Hadid. Together with the renowned sound artist Hans Peter Kuhn, the costume designer Bernd Skodzig, and musicians and dancers from the Sasha Waltz & Guests ensemble, Waltz proceeded further with the development her notion of the moving exhibition on the various levels of a building, a pursuit begun with the Neuen Museum in Berlin and her others Dialoge. Ten year after the film relive this extraordinary appointment: a dialogue between dance, architecture and contemporary art.
