After literally blazing the Teatro Argentina with his Lumière III, a performance for lasers, music and abstract figures, Robert Henke returns to REf18 with his daring luminous experiments. Linee e Punti No. 1 (lines and point no.1) is a site-specific work, specially created for the Sala Santa Rita in Rome.
It is precisely this space that pushes the German artist, musician and computer engineer to create a genuine dialogue between architecture and an electronic organism animated once again by lasers and sound.
Bands of light caress the walls, dots and grids jump around on the floor and seek to understand, in an endless algorithmic dance, the mechanisms that bring the space to life. «This is not installation,» Henke himself says, «but something alive, a geometry that slowly breathes within a solid form.»
