È sabato e la nostra newsletter torna per annunciarvi che ci siamo davvero! Martedì 14 settembre alle ore 21 prenderemo il volo nella Cavea dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica insieme agli acrobati della Compagnie XY e Rachid Ouramdane.
Del loro Möbius, lo spettacolo che potrete vedere fino al 16 settembre, vi abbiamo già parlato altre volte ma vogliamo dirvi di più delle straordinarie artiste e degli straordinari artisti che abiteranno la scena:
Con un percorso di oltre quindici anni costruito interrogando il linguaggio acrobatico, Compagnie XY è una dei più numerosi collettivi europei. 22 sono le/i performer in tour per questo spettacolo di cui 19 acrobati e acrobate in scena provenienti dalla Francia, la Germania, la Spagna, l’Argentina, l’Australia, il Marocco, la Danimarca, Israele e dal Belgio. Ad unirli una passione comune per l’acrobazia, una ricerca sui linguaggi artistici, sui concetti di “massa” e di “folla”, sul loro inserirsi nello spazio e nel tempo. Una struttura rigorosamente orizzontale, rivendicata come forma di pensiero e di azione politica, permette al gruppo di destreggiarsi tra differenti pratiche e linguaggi e di aprirsi a nuovi incontri e nuovi sguardi. Come quello di Rachid Ouramdane, coreografo, oggi alla guida del Theatre National de Chaillot che ha saputo offrire le sue parole, i suoi gesti e il suo sguardo al servizio del collettivo. «Möbius ci porta a rivolgerci a ciò che ci supera o, meglio, a ciò che ci circonda. In altre parole si tratta sempre di mettere in discussione le nostre modalità espressive, i nostri atti, i nostri comportamenti ma in relazione a una totalità, a quella comunità più ampia che è il nostro ambiente naturale. Perché crediamo fermamente che qui ci sia qualcosa di prezioso, nel senso di universale – afferma la compagnia»
Questo ritorno al contatto, questo stare insieme, questo offrirsi all’ascolto che è al cuore della trentaseiesima edizione del Romaeuropa Festival ci porta al Teatro Argentina uno dei primi appuntamenti con il teatro internazionale: la drammaturga Kata Weber e il regista Kornél Mundruczó portano in scena qui dal 17 al 19 settembre Pieces of a Woman, spettacolo prodotto con le attrici e gli attori del TRWarszawa. Un momento più intimo che ci racconta delle fratture e delle contraddizioni del nostro presente e della condizione femminile nella società polacca e in Europa. Maja, protagonista della pièce, ha solo 30 anni e insieme al compagno Lars decide di avere un figlio. La sua vita viene sconvolta quando partorisce in casa e perde il bambino. La sua tragedia personale la porta a mettere in discussione tutta la sua vita e a ricostruire da zero i rapporti con la sua famiglia. Kata Weber e Kornél Mundruczó ritraggono ogni personaggio con empatia e con sguardo privo di giudizio. «La strada intrapresa da Maja è la strada di ogni donna. Sperimenta ciò che provano tutte le donne quando i loro desideri vengono annientati e schiacciati dal dolore fino a quando non arriva il momento di dispiegarsi e riaprirsi pronte a una vita di maggiore consapevolezza, profondità e di gioia» affermano.
Da trentasei anni il Romaeuropa Festival è costruito intorno ai valori dell’incontro, dello scambio, della comunità, del pensiero e dell’approfondimento, della leggerezza e della festa. E perché la festa possa accadere, forti dell’esperienza del 2020 anche quest’anno abbiamo sviluppato un protocollo volto a garantire la sicurezza di tutte e tutti nel rispetto delle norme sanitarie vigenti.

Nella scelta di tutelare l’ambiente e sviluppare protocolli sempre più ecosostenibili riceverete i programmi di sala degli spettacoli via mail oppure potrete accedervi direttamente in teatro semplicemente inquadrando con il vostro dispositivo smartphone gli appositi QRcode distribuiti nei foyer. Vi invitiamo, ove possibile, a preferire come noi la mobilità sostenibile, a basso impatto ambientale verso i luoghi di svolgimento degli eventi. It’s Saturday and our newsletter is back to let you know that we’re ready to start! Tuesday 14 September at 9 pm we will take a flight in the Cavea of ??the Auditorium Parco della Musica together with the acrobats of Compagnie XY and Rachid Ouramdane.
We have already talked about their piece Möbius, on stage until September the 16th. But this time we would like to tell you more about the extraordinary artists who will perform on the scene: Compagnie XY is one of the most numerous European collectives. 22 performers are on tour for this show including 19 acrobats on stage from France, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Australia, Morocco, Denmark, Israel and Belgium. They are united by a common passion for acrobatics, research on artistic languages, on the concepts of “mass” and “crowd”, on their insertion into space and time. A strictly horizontal structure, claimed as a form of thought and political action, allows the group to juggle different practices and languages ??and to open up to new encounters and new gazes. Like the one with Rachid Ouramdane (choreographer, today at the direction of the Theater National de Chaillot) who has been able to offer his words, his gestures and his gaze at the service of the collective. «Möbius leads us to turn to what surpasses us or, better, to what surrounds us. In other words, it is always a question about our expressive modalities, our acts, our behaviors but in relation to a totality, to that wider community which is our natural environment. Because we firmly believe that there is something precious here, in the sense of universal – says the company”.
This return to contact, this being together, this offering to listen which is at the heart of the 36th edition of the Romaeuropa Festival brings us to Teatro Argentina. Here we will attend one of the first appointments with international theater: from the 17th to the 19th of September play writer Kata Weber and director Kornél Mundruczó bring to the stage Pieces of a Woman, a play produced with the actresses and actors of TRWarszawa. An intimate moment that tells us about the fractures and contradictions of our present and about the condition of women in Polish society and in Europe. Maja, the protagonist of the play, is only 30 years old and together with her partner Lars decides to have a child. Her life is turned upside down when she gives birth at home and loses the baby. Her personal tragedy leads her to question her whole life and to rebuild the relationships with her family from scratch. Kata Weber and Kornél Mundruczó portray each character with empathy and with a non-judgmental gaze. “The path taken by Maja is the path of every woman” they say “She experiences what all women feel when their desires are crushed by pain until the time comes to unfold and reopen ready for a life of greater awareness, depth and joy “.
For thirty-six years Romaeuropa Festival has been built around the values ??of encounter, exchange, community, thought and deepening, lightness and celebration.
