With his intense artistic research of the identification of movement practices with the ability to reconnect communities, Connor Schumacher soon emerged as one of the most promising European choreographers. In his new piece, six performers immerse themselves in a high-intensity training for the brain and for the body, a test of endurance that transforms life through choreography, musical and jazz. They express a need for resistance that arises from a world where human values such as caring, compassion and mutual attention appear hindered. How do we relate to each other as individuals in such a world? Or, indeed, as a group? Thanks to the musicals of Bob Fosse, neuroscience and training videos of the Eighties, these six different bodies in motion show us a version of how life could be.
