The second PMCE performance dedicated to great contemporary composers under the musical direction of Tonino Battista stars the music of Louis Adriessen- one of the best known living Dutch composers and one of the most daring experimenters. His repertoire will include: Hoketus, a project close to minimalism and the American avant-garde; Life, a piece born in collaboration with Dutch artist Marijke van Warmerdam as a contemporary version of Pictures at an Exhibition; and finally, De Stijl (De materie part III), a composition inspired by musical forms of the 20th century, the boogie-woogie and dance music.
