Dopo oltre due mesi e mezzo di spettacoli, condivisioni e incontri, domenica 20 novembre abbiamo salutato la trentasettesima edizione del Romaeuropa Festival.
Lo abbiamo fatto sulle note della mastodontica Einstein on the beach di Philip Glass eseguita in un concerto di 200 minuti no-stop dall’ensemble Ictus, Collegium Vocale Gent e Suzanne Vega.
Siete state e stati in più di 44.000 ad accompagnarci in questo viaggio di oltre 105 eventi e 176 repliche, costruito sul dialogo e il confronto culturale.

Sabato 10 dicembre alle 21:15 su Rai5 (in replica domenica 11 alle ore 16:30) potrete scoprire o rivedere l’integrale di We Want It All, lo spettacolo di Emio Greco, Pieter C. Scholten e ICK Dans Amsterdam con il quale, nella cavea dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica, abbiamo inaugurato questa trentasettesima edizione.
Un’ultima news: siamo molto felici di ritrovare tanti pezzi del REF2021 tra i finalisti dell’ultima edizione dei Premi Ubu.
Tra i migliori spettacoli di danza italiana due coproduzioni REF: Inferno di Roberto Castello/Aldes e Manifesto Cannibale di Francesca Pennini / CollettivO CineticO.
Tra le migliori performer under35, Stefania Tansini vincitrice di DNAppunti Coreografici 2020 con My Body e al debutto alla trentaseiesima edizione del festival. Ancora tra i migliori spettacoli stranieri presentati in Italia il commovente Love di Alexander Zeldin, prima volta al REF del grande regista inglese (tornato quest’anno con il suo Faith Hope and Charity) presentato in prima nazionale in corealizzazione con Teatro di Roma.

After over two months and a half of shows, sharing and meetings, on Sunday November 20th we said goodbye to the 37th edition of Romaeuropa Festival. We did that on the notes of the colossal Einstein on the beach by Philip Glass, executed in a 200 minutes non-stop concert by Ictus ensemble, Collegium Vocale Gent and Suzanne Vega. So here we are, wrapping up the narrations of REF2022, looking at the listening and comprehension of our past to focus and tell with attention our present and cross the borders of creativity and imagination. To build our future together.
You were more than 44.000 to accompany us on this journey made of over 105 events and 176 performances, built on dialogue and cultural debate.

Did you miss REF2022’s opening? On Saturday December 10th at 21:15 on Rai5 (rerun on Sunday the 11th at 16:30), you will be able to discover or watch again the complete version of We Want It All, the show by Emio Greco, Pieter C. Scholten and ICK Dans Amsterdam with which, in the Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica, we inaugurated this 37th edition.
One last news: we are very happy to find so many pieces of REF2021 among the finalists of the latest edition of Premi Ubu. Among the best Italian dance shows there are two REF co-productions: Inferno by Roberto Castello/Aldes and Manifesto Cannibale by Francesca Pennini / CollettivO CineticO. Among the best performers under35, Stefania Tansini, winner of DNAppunti Coreografici 2020 with My Body and debuting during the 37th edition of the festival.
Among the best foreign shows presented in Italy, the moving Love by Alexander Zeldin, the great british director for the first time at REF (he came back this year with its Faith Hope and Charity), presented as a national premier in co-realisation with Teatro di Roma. Good job to all the finalists!
